Mokulele Airlines celebrates new Honolulu Terminal with Blessing & Anuhea performance
HONOLULU, May 30, 2018 (Newswire.com) - Mokulele Airlines will be moving to a new location at the Daniel K. Inouye (Honolulu) International Airport effective as of May 29, 2018.
Their new home will be located at 3073 Aolele Street, directly between the United Airlines and Delta Airlines cargo offices. The existing driveway was once a cell phone waiting lot and is being reconfigured into a gated parking area with multiple stalls for hourly, daily, and overnight parking.
I'm really excited to see the new Mokulele terminal for all my island hopping to Oahu... it's already been super convenient to get between the islands for shows and family, but to have a fresh terminal to fly out of is going to be super exciting!
Anuhea, Singer and music maker from Hawai'i
All Mokulele operations will be moving from the existing ‘Commuter Terminal’ (currently called Terminal 1). The airport is renaming all of the terminals, and once their relocation process is completed, Mokulele will be located at Terminal 3. Transfers from the inter-island or the overseas terminal can still be done by using the airport “Wiki Wiki” shuttle.
The Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT) has set up facilities at their new location to accommodate Mokulele with a check-in area, offices, and storage facility for maintenance. A covered open-air holding area that will seat up to 50 people is also being constructed to facilitate the passenger service experience.
Passenger check-in will be handled at two counters. Mokulele will offer its small package (counter-to-counter shipments), as well as a rental car pick-up shuttle service.
Mokulele flights will be departing and arriving in the area directly behind their new counter at terminal 3. The new terminal 3 will operate the same as their commuter terminals at other islands so TSA services are not required so passengers can conveniently avoid the screening process. Passengers will not be required to remove their shoes or open their computers from their bags. Mokulele is still recommending check in at their counters 30 minutes prior to departure time.
Mokulele is inviting all press and customers to come experience their new terminal with a blessing ceremony and party to celebrate the move! The Blessing Ceremony will be held on Thursday, May 31, 2018. Anuhea and Jason Tupulo-Aiono will be performing live music at Mokulele's new facility throughout the day! The blessing ceremony itself will be led by Pastor Makana Delovio of New Hope Kona with music, fun, and food to follow. The event will be from 11 A.M. - 1 P.M. on Thursday with free giveaways and much more! Anuhea has been a huge supporter of Mokulele. The first person Mokulele reached out to was Anuhea for this event. Of course, Anuhea was completely on board! Anuhea said, "I'm really excited to see the new Mokulele terminal for all my island hopping to Oahu... it’s already been super convenient to get between the islands for shows and family, but to have a fresh terminal to fly out of is going to be super exciting!" Mokulele invites you to come and see their new facility as well! Come out and help support your favorite island hopper!
